HELP CHILDREN TO RECOGNISE LETTERS, WORK ON PHONOLOGY AND READING SKILLS. THEY LEARN YO BLEND PHONETICS TO PRONOUNCE THE WORD AND RELATE TO THE OBJECT IT IS ASSOCIATED WITH. Secondly, it has to be read with the children pointing to the words whenever it is read- 20 minutes of reading a day will help the child imbibe the skill which whenever practices get reinforced in the working memeory. Thirdly, children must be allowed to copy the posters in a mini version of what may be called- TIP chart- Term, Information, Picture as an aid for reinforcement.
    A print- rich classroom or an environment aids in instilling essential skills needed for reading- children acquire the skills of exploration and discovery. Children develop interest in applying what they see through reading.
    This information rich environmet provides a wealth of information and hence elicit abundant possibilities of learning.
    An ideal learning environmet encourages three levels of classroom interaction- teacher- student, student- student, student - content.
