Cleanliness is next to Godliness and therefore I feel each child should be taught about hygiene at home and at their formative years. ReplyDeleteA daily routine monitoring of a child can go a long way in spotting and identifying diseases, illness, rashes ,boils , etc and necessary steps can be taken. Nails, hair uniform, neatness in appearance can be stressed upon with the involvement of parents with advice and instructions. Students can be counselled about maintaining neat and clean surroundings and proper etiquettes and table manners to help them understand it's importance in daily life.

ReplyDeleteAt first awareness is to be spread. The benefits of maintaining hygiene and the adverse effects is not maintained hygiene in a proper way. Videos can be shared with students because that will substantiate the truth and they will be convinced of the same. So by introducing these concepts to them not only school but also family should take equal responsibility.

ReplyDeleteHygiene awareness in children is of great importance, not only in school but wherever they live or go. They have to be monitored at an early age by the teacher but in a polite manner. They can be told stories on hand wash and eating habits. Regular health check up and maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings can be emphasized.

ReplyDelete1 Keeping hands clean- After doing any activity and will ensure they will wash their hands rather than using sanitizers.
2 If anyone is suffering any viral infection, then I will monitor that he/ she will use tissue in place of handkerchief.
3 Guide them for brushing twice a day .
4 Taking proper bath regularly.
5 Drinking of plenty of water and eating balanced food.

Taking care of their body, bathing, combing, cutting their nails, and about oral and dental hygiene. Along with personal hygiene, environmental sanitation is also very important, children need to be told the importance of keeping their classrooms, homes and surroundings clean.
ReplyDeleteThe child needs to be monitored every day , her dressing whether her uniform is neatly ironed , she had combed her hair well , either braded or had a good cut , checking of her nails whether are nails are trimmed , , whether she has a tissue or a hanky with her /him ..

As a teacher we need to make the child aware about their health by giving them various health and hygiene activities and through regular health checkups.

ReplyDeleteFrequency of Hand washing or hand sanitization by children, neatly combed hairs, eating with closed mouth, wearing proper washed & ironed clothes, Eating habits, Toilet routine in schools, etc in children are some of the areas which need to be monitored in children because Proper Hygiene is important for everyone. Since Teachers are role models for their children, therefore teachers should themselves remain in proper hygiene. The Importance and Benefits of Proper Hygiene to Society and Self must be explained to children by their Teacher.

I check my children for the following :-
• Children’s hairs must be neatly combed,
• Nails properly cut because long nails can harm other children during play time.
• In view of the Covid-19 situations frequent hand washing or proper & frequent user of sanitizers by children.
• Eating with closed mouth
• Wearing proper washed & ironed clothes gives a good look to a children and are preferred over children who remain little dirty
• Eating habits whether they eat healthy at school and finish their lunch. This would ensure they have proper nutrition to support their body & mind.
A child should be checked for their neat and clean uniform, clean shoes and socks, nails, combing of hair , dental and oral hygiene on daily basis. Teach them proper handwashing technique and make them understand the importance of hygienic practices.

ReplyDeleteI believe that the teacher should be the role model for every student because whatever they see in their teacher same things they follow better than their parents. Short stories related to the healthy habits and hygiene can be narrated in such a way that will completely give an effect and the main aspect and the concept will get clear in the students mind. Regular health checkups and also daily some thoughts related can be shown and explained by various methods or giving some live examples.
