  52. Make a hygiene chart following their name, nails, shoes, shoes polish, haircut, ribbons, I-card, spectacles, Dental hygiene, washroom manners, walking behavior, decorum of the classroom etc... Observe them. and mark it there. so that they will mind that teacher is watching me. I have to be neat , clean. Everyday or a day after encourage them to be a "STAR" hygiene child.

Children learn what they see, hence it is very important that the expectations should be clearly shared with educators and parents, as if they are following the hygiene routines like wearing neat and clean clothes, being presentable, clean shave, nails cut, well groomed then children will also follow this. The problem i feel is we always want to teach and observe children but as said "practice what you preach". Apart from this, if still need be stories and puppets are great way to inculcate healthy routines. A weekly check can be done just for our reference so if required proper guidance can be provided.

  96. Inculcating habits like trimming of nail size, hair, food brought in tiffin, use of napkin, sanitizing hands often etc should be done by teachers by means of stories and songs. It should be practiced in schools by teachers so that children can imitate.
