Assessments at foundational stage may be done in a formal or an informal way .Formal assessments would depend more on paper and pencil and will evaluate the theoretical understanding of literacy and numeracy.Teachers can assess the children in an informal way,by making them read the posters ,read the pictures,,talking on any particular topic, draw or recite any poem .For numeracy , counting, matching etc of numbers, shapes may be taken using toys, posters, shapes, games .

ReplyDeleteAssessments at foundational stage can be done in a informal way or a formal way. counting, fill up the bottle with water, counting beads, string the bids, walk on numbers, poem recitation, match the fruit with its color, match the shapes.

Analytical rubrics and Holistic rubrics could be done generating levels of performance for each criteria.
