Since different children come to school from different family background the educator or the teacher need to deal very expertly before teaching them anything.
After then again based on their different level of their capacity they need to be parted with their learnings.
Age and the social background of the students play an important role in the early year education. The facilitator should know each student very well before she starts teaching them. The facilitator should provide more time and different methods to help her students. Taking parents' help and using different methodology will definitely give better results. Lots of encouragement from the facilitator boost learners confidence.
ReplyDeletetoday’s education system we find that all children entering a particular class are expected to learn the course contents in a stipulated time. The weekly tests, half yearly and annual exams are scheduled on fixed times. Most of the lessons are textbook based and the focus of the teachers is on covering the defined syllabus. Same type of instructions are given to the entire class. Differences in the levels of language skills, visual-motor skills, social readiness, varied levels of oral language development, and diversity in home atmosphere may result in different types of learners having different learning needs. This system of education does not take into account the diverse contexts and backgrounds, languages and differential learning needs with which children enter the school. But the learning in students is variable, some learn concepts very fast, some require more practice,
ReplyDeleteChildren should be taught in different methods, by play way, visual, audio and by drawing and colouring pictures, in child centered learning the above method should be used so that all types of learners especially slow learners can also catch up
DeleteStudents may come from diverse backgrounds and the readiness for learning are also different. Hence the teachers should keep this in mind so that learning happens instead of focussing on course completion.

ReplyDeleteEach child is having his/her own learning abilities so the teacher should plan the lesson plan according to the need of an average student.
ReplyDeleteEach child is capable of learning and growing academically and otherwise. We should plan lessons in such a way that all students should reach the desired standards. Instead of having one set pattern of exams ,we can diversify the mode of testing so that children can be assessed as per their learning capabilities without being tagged as winners or losers.
ReplyDeleteEach child in the classroom has different learning style. So the teacher need to plan accordingly while teaching to meet all learning styles of children.
ReplyDeleteChildren are unique and possess varying levels of understanding. All the children do not reflect their thoughts orally or in written. Hence, teachers must plan for individualised choice of assessments. This would provide opportunities for the students to reflect themselves without losing their confidence.
ReplyDeleteA teacher must reach every child before she/ he teaches. Variations in the learning ability of the students must be taken into account. Different types of activities must be planned to cater to the children with different learning needs. This will help them to improve their understanding and will allow the children to bloom and flourish at their own pace. Thus, learning will become an enjoyable experience for them.

ReplyDeletechildren enjoy through such methods
ReplyDeleteThey enjoy such effective methods used to teach them. They enthusiastically participate in every discussion and session.
ReplyDeleteActivity based teaching is the best method to teach. It will be fun learning
ReplyDeleteLearner centered approach provides real- life scenarios that are relevant today in the real world.
ReplyDeleteEvery single child has an innate capacity to learn, unless there are some challenges. However, we must pause and think of students who might be underage for the class or might be struggling with the language used in school, the medium of instruction. Therefore it is imperative to focus on foundational literacy and numeracy before the student goes beyond grade IV. The NEP is ushering in a very nuanced and evolved approach to education.
ReplyDeleteA learning pattern designed to meet the needs of each individual child understanding their strength and weakness will prove effective .
ReplyDeleteChildren at different age has different requirements and have different pace to understand.learner based education system should be implemented and will bring gud results

How well they are providing the material and environment in which learning is taking place? How passionate the teacher is about the teaching learning process?
ReplyDeleteTeachers need to do lot of planning and reflect on process of planning to make learning experience memorable for the students.
The school is the 2nd environment of a child after his family. So, a facilitator should behave like a guide & offer the child the best activity according to their level.
ReplyDeletechildren have different iq levels so their learning style also should be different
ReplyDeleteAll the children cannot be taught or treated in the same way. Every child is unique. Teacher must analyse, adapt and encourage.
ReplyDeleteevery child is different and unique. The role of the teacher is to nurture every child individually
ReplyDeletePre primary students are as a wet clay,so teacher has to handle them with lots of love and care. Now CBCE Providing us nice stream of knowledge so each teacher should use that practically.

ReplyDeleteRole of teacher is very important in the development of a child.
ReplyDeletePlay way method is very much useful for kids.teachers can teach them by showing different projects because this age group is visual learner.
ReplyDeleteDifferent methods could be used to cater to the needs of different children to have the learning outcomes achieved
ReplyDeleteCBE ensures that learning outcomes are achieved by all the children keeping in mind the different levels of students in a class, their background or the environment they are brought up in
ReplyDeleteThe pattern is followed without ensuring different capabilities of students. Each child is capable of learning and growing academically and otherwise. We should plan lessons in such a way that all students should reach the desired standards. ReplyDeleteActivity based teaching is the best method to teach and children enjoy such effective methods.
ReplyDeleteThey enjoyed the learning process. The could refer to their real life observations/
ReplyDeleteexperiences. Activity based teaching is the best method to teach
Though it has various benefits ...time constraint is evident for the teacher
ReplyDeleteThe variation in testing the learning is observed in the school. The children enjoy different activities conducted for teaching the same content. However, the educational institutions should plan for such activities without time and coverage of syllabus accountability
ReplyDeleteFOCUS
ReplyDeleteThe students will enjoy learning process by various activities. Thus, weaker students get an opportunity to learn better and excel.
ReplyDeleteEvery child is unique and every class has children across various age group.Planning of lessons to cater all the type of learner is an art which an adult in the class must be aware of .
ReplyDeleteAre all children being provided the same set of instructions and have fixed testing schedules or variation in learning is accounted for? In your opinion, what are the benefits/limitations in using a learner-centred approach?
ReplyDeleteNo.
Learner centered approach benefits:
Develops problem-solving skills
Fosters collaborative learning
Makes learning more fun
Facilitates personalized learning
Limitations:
Too much independence
Students might feel hectic schedule
The problem with the teacher-centered approach is that it doesn’t let children express themselves. It’s more based on structured learning for tests than fostering a love of learning. Child-centered education inspires students to explore what they are most curious about. Children direct their own learning and thus it will stick with them for life.
ReplyDeleteThe activities and teaching should be planned by the teacher in such a way that it should be understood by all levels of children....and while conduting test help should be given to the child who are in need.
ReplyDeleteThe content was apt for learner and gave me an opportunity to reflect on my teaching practices.
ReplyDeleteThe teaching should be planned and executed by the teacher to address children with different levels of understanding. Also the assessment should be different for children with different levels of understanding.
ReplyDeleteChildren learn by doing it in fun manner. Teaching should be Activity based related to the environment.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. Children should be made comfortable first
ReplyDeleteSo far the same sets of methodology have been predominant in teaching and learning irrespective of diverse backgrounds of students. Individual pathways as per the needs of the students are not the common scenario in traditional class rooms. Of course at times teachers go beyond the fixed routine and pedagogy and make learning enjoyable and learner centred. In such cases the result is definitely positive
ReplyDeleteActivity based learning is important.
ReplyDeleteThe teacher has to keep in mind the simplicity of the activity that does not require fancy items and can be done in school itself. The resources available in school should be put to good use. Also the problem with the teacher- centred approach is that it doesn’t let children express themselves. Children direct their own learning and thus it will stick with them for life.
ReplyDeleteIt focuses on experimental processes rather than on product in the learning process and creative expression rather than conformity to set standards or prescribed models.
ReplyDeleteVariation is accounted for keeping in mind that children come to me with various competencies.
ReplyDeleteEach child in the classroom has different learning style but sadly , till date the teaching procedure remains the same for the entire class. To get the best out of each child , teachers should first try to know each child and then vary their methodology according to the needs of the children
ReplyDeleteThey should enjoy their study .. not as a task to do.
ReplyDeleteIn my previous years I used to teach children according to their potential. We need to know that how much a child can understand as every child have different backgrounds and conditions. There are more limitations than benifits in the learner centered approach. Because it is only the views and ideas of teachers than the children and every children has different views and ideas.
ReplyDeleteThe best way to learn is to enjoy the task.
ReplyDeleteBest and valuable ideas and teaching learning process is a continuous process and play way method make the classroom interesting and helpful in learning easily .
ReplyDeleteYes, the teacher has to become a researcher as well as behave like students' friend.
ReplyDeleteChildren will learn with ease S they have different iq level. Child center approach will help the students to undersrand and learn the concept very well.
ReplyDeleteChild centered approach definitely creates positive culture where the facitator cater to the individual of needs of each child. The strength and requirement o f the child is identified in the first position which gives enormous development in child's progress.
ReplyDeleteThis method shifts the focus of instructions from teacher to the student. Learner becomes active and independent in his learning path. Life long learning skills and problem solving approach develops. Prior experiences are used to learn new information. Pace of learning is set by the learner.
ReplyDeleteThe method is expensive in terms of time, material and manpower. It requires well trained teachers.
The facilitator should know each student well before starting teaching them and have deep understanding of the child's level. Age and the social background of the students plays an important role in the early years education.Lot of encouragement and motivation from the teachers, parents and peers boost the confidence of the learners.
ReplyDeleteEvery child has different learning abilities and they are different types of learners. The teacher should cater to all types of learners and make teaching and learning effective. The use of different methods and modes of teaching is required.
ReplyDeletedifferent methods and modes of teaching is required
ReplyDeleteLearner centric or child centric approach is the best way to teach the students. If LBF techniques are used it enhances the learning and will also cater to the different levels of students in the class.
ReplyDeleteAll children are not learning at one time..there is a variation of learning and as a teacher the time should be taken to educate or involve the slow learners too
ReplyDeleteChild centric approach brings out the best in the students. It brings out the different skills of reasoning and logical thinking which is the need of the hour
ReplyDeleteThis method shifts the focus of instructions from teacher to the student. Learner becomes active and independent in his learning path. Life long learning skills and problem solving approach develops. Prior experiences are used to learn new information. Pace of learning is set by the learner.Learner centric or child centric approach is the best way to teach the students. If techniques are used it enhances the learning and will also cater to the different levels of students in the class.
ReplyDeleteThe method is expensive in terms of time, material and manpower. It requires well trained teachers.
Understanding each child is very important.so that the teacher can teach them correctly and teachers should engage them in learning through fun activities.
ReplyDeleteLearner centred approach will enhance creativity and problem solving ability in a child. Learning will also be self spaced and interactive.
ReplyDeleteThe limitations to the learners centre approach is that the teachers need to be more skilled and equipped with material and other academic resources, at the same time providing children full autonomy may result in indiscipline.
When we perform student centered activities, there isl lot of student involvement, teachers act as facilitator. They learn by doing the activities at their own pace, their own understanding and perspective.
ReplyDeleteECCe-National early childhood care and education is a holistic development of the young minds for a better future foundation. It helps the young learners to learn when they play, strengthens their physical and mental health in a protective environment.
ReplyDeleteA learner Centered Approach in learning helps to improve participation, retention of knowledge , makes learning more fun and boosts performance at work.
ReplyDeleteTime will be a limitation for performing such learner centered activities in the class rooms.. But we can undoubtedly say that learner centered approach is the most needed and worthy one when we are discussing the updation of educational system
ReplyDeleteEvery child is special in their own way. They are coming from different backgrounds and when they interact with other students they learn a lot. Little ones learn more while seeing others and learning. My past experience says the early childhood education is utmost important.
ReplyDeleteA learner centered approach is the best part of FLN as it understands the fact that each child is different. It gives equal opportunities to all students to excel as per their capacities.
ReplyDeleteLearning is happening in a joyful and stressfree manner. Overall Development of a child. They learn by doing the activities at their own pace, their own understanding and perspective. Life long learning skills and problem solving approach develops. Prior experiences are used to learn new information. Children can apply the knowledge in their day to day life.
ReplyDeleteThe children achieve learning targets easily.
ReplyDeleteThe children individually achieve learning targets in a playway method.
ReplyDeleteThe children achieve learning targets easily and they can relate their new learning with their past experiences too. They are able to apply the knowledge in day to day life
ReplyDeleteAs a teacher, I do feel that there is an imbalance in the earlier modes of teaching as a single plan for a diverse set of students is not the need of the hour. Our plans should be able to fit each child as snuggly as possible, making learning accessible and available to every student at their level of learning. And making learning happen for everyone involved.
ReplyDeleteAs we all know every child have some special ability ..and during early stage of learning they should get joyful environment. We cannot change their background but as educator we can provide them one
ReplyDeleteThey will enjoy the learning and try to solve the learning problems by themselves.
ReplyDeleteThe advantages of a learner centered approach In learning are
ReplyDeleteIt Improves participation, Improves retention of knowledge, Boosts performance at work, Develops problem-solving skills, Fosters collaborative learning, Makes learning fun, and Facilitates personalized learning.
According to me its really a very nice initiative taken to educate children in different manner. It really boosts a child in different fields of education.
ReplyDeleteA learner-centered approach views learners as active agents. They bring their own knowledge, past experiences, education, and ideas – and this impacts how they take on board new information and learn.
ReplyDeleteIt differs significantly from a traditional instructor-centered approach. Traditional learning approaches were informed by behaviorism, which sees learners as ‘blank slates’ and instructors as experts who must impart all the relevant information. This approach sees learners as respondents to external stimuli.
ADVANTAGE - Children centered learning stimulates early brain development. It allows children to create and imagine, which is an important aspect of child-centered education. Play promotes healthy development and critical thinking skills and reinforces memory. Playing also provides opportunities for children to learn social interaction
ReplyDeleteEvery child to be taught according to their pace .
ReplyDeleteChildren centered class would be the class where every child feels respected .
This program will help to build a fundamental skills in students. This program is helpful for teachers.
ReplyDeleteThe teacher needs to and most certainly must adopt different methods to ensure the concepts/learning is meaningful for the children. Different learners understand have different needs . Hence, it is important to cater to each learners need individually. Child Centered learning has various advantages such as better concept clarity, eternal learning, meaningful understanding etc
ReplyDeleteThe LP planning has to include activity based / experiential learning catering to all sorts of learning styles, age range and back grounds of students.
ReplyDeleteEvery child comes from a different background and atmosphere. All children are blessed with different traits therefore by applying fixed learning method without variation will not actually be benefitted as well purposeful in term of education. Child centered learning will actually provide them learning on hand and connect them to real life situations.
ReplyDeleteEvery child is unique and comes with immense potential. Children are born curious and learner, specially at early years. A stimulating environment for the little ones to openly explore without the fear of being judged or being wrong would surely help to build up on their various skills like confidence, decision making, problem solving, collaborating and many more which is much more then mere numbers and alphabets. When such stimulating environment is created, the learning automatically becomes child centric and extra efforts are not required. Yes, as an educators what is required is patience, observation, unbiased approach and trust in the child.
ReplyDeleteECCE is very important for all the teachers. Well trained teachers will be helpful for handling this generation children. play way method of learning, lots of interaction with children is important
ReplyDeleteLearn by games with fun is the good way to learn and teach.
ReplyDeletelearn by play is the way at primary & pre-primary level
ReplyDeleteBy using the learner centered aproach ,every child easily understand with the help of viual metods ,activities
ReplyDeleteDifferentiated Teaching is done in My School.Informally they are tested and appreciated everyday for their small learning steps.Learner Centred approach is the most scientific approach where Competency of the child in the Concept taught is emphasised instead of Rote Learning.
ReplyDeleteART class is very important for the children's development
ReplyDeleteFLN Mission is the most revolutionary step in the History of Educational development in India .Before NEP 2020 Rote Learning was the basis of Assessment that was the reason fo our poor performance in the International benchmarking done by different agencies.
ReplyDeleteBasic number operations and linguistic learning if they will be developed at the early stage, our children will be competent in FLN and will not be keep on moving with their weaknesses, as accountability of teachers is there now for the learning of their students .
they enjoyed the learning process.
ReplyDeleteLearner centred approach improves participation, retention of knowledge,
ReplyDeletedevelops problem-solving skills and
makes learning more fun.
This approach has some disadvantages also-
It often relies on the teacher's ability to create materials appropriate to learner's expressed needs.
It requires more skill on the part of the teacher as well as their time and resources.
ECCE help the children in their overall development.
ReplyDeleteTo a greater extent learner centered approach is great but it shares some disadvantages too. Like teacher needs to be more skilled and supported by resources which is sometimes hard to find.
ReplyDeleteLearner centered approach is very beneficial .Teachers pay individual attention to each studentand its easy to find out their shortcomings.
ReplyDeletedifferent methods of teaching like visual aids , learning by doing, play way method and child centric learning go a long way in helping tap the child's learning abilities in a holistic way. ECCE help the children in their overall development.
ReplyDeleteThere should be different methods of teaching adopted for different child as all are not same . Some learn by doing , some by experimenting ,some by just looking . So teacher should adopt different methods of teaching that not only bring variation in their teaching but also the knowledge of their students will be more concrete.
ReplyDeleteYes, all children are being provided with the same set of instructions and have fixed testing schedules. In my opinion, the teacher- student ratio.
ReplyDeleteMs. Roshan M,
ReplyDeleteEven though the set of instructions given are same along with the fixed testing schedules, in our day to day teachings the interactions are student led, the students are encouraged to think "outside the box" when giving answers to questions asked. Research method is usually used when a concept is taught. Hands on teaching is followed which helps to retain the concept better.
There should be different methods of teaching adopted for different child as all are not same.Every child is unique and needs own time to learn and explore. The learner centred approach has to be followed because that is the only way through which the students can work on their weakness and focus on their strength. It helps is better development and a life long sustainable development for child. Studies without pressure is an absolute way to enhance the learning process.
ReplyDeleteEach and every student has own learning capabilities so there should be different methods which can cover understanding of different levels of students. Learned centered approach is best to treat students accorrding to their understanding, it enable teachers to perform various methods like play way method, use of digital tools etc to enhance the learning process.
ReplyDeletelearner centred approach is the best to teach children.they feel more responsible ans are able to apply knowledge to the real life. there is no pressure on them.
ReplyDeleteStudents come from diverse backgrounds and every child's learning pattern is different so a teacher should pay more attention to this rather than completing the course.
ReplyDeleteEvery student is unique. So we need to frame the syllabus in a way that it meets the objective of the syllabus.
ReplyDeleteEach and every student has own learning capabilities so there should be different methods which can cover understanding of different levels of students. ReplyDeleteChildren love the attention & participation part of learning but differentiation in understanding level causes major problem.
ReplyDeleteThe learner centred approach has to be followed because that is the only way through which the students can work on their weakness and focus on their strength. It helps is better development and a life long sustainable development for child. Studies without pressure is an absolute way to enhance the learning process.Curriculum gives power to learners. Students see their needs clearly reflected in the classroom, which is very motivating. Create direct link between classroom and the learners needs. Learners can easily transfer new skills in day to day activities.
ReplyDeleteLearner centre is too important but then we must be wise and selective enough of the learning environment the child is going to explored. Even though they love play but we cant let them play any kind of play like killing with gun etc. Our aim and objective of teaching strategies in ECCE should be clear
ReplyDeleteWhen the children will be taught by different methods like playway, activities, stories etc, they take more interest and it helps them to have better understanding. They will be able to apply their knowledge in real life situations too.
ReplyDeleteIn today’s education system, we find that all children entering a particular class are expected to learn the course contents in a stipulated time. This system of education doesn't take into account the diverse contexts and backgrounds, languages and different learning needs with which children enter the school. But the learning in students is variable, some learn concepts very fast, some require more practice.
A learner-centered approach should be integrated into the current system to compensate for the lack of taking the students' differences into account. Implementing a completely new system would be difficult to adapt to and so integrating it gradually into the current system would be the optimal option.
Children learn more through play way method as experiential learning takes place
ReplyDeleteDifferent methods have to be devised to explain the same content. The surrounding the class room effect, decoration, playing aids is also a vital part in education. Each and every student has own learning capabilities so there should be different methods which can cover understanding of different levels of students. Learned centred approach is best to treat students according to their understanding, it enable teachers to perform various methods like play way method, use of digital tools etc to enhance the learning process
ReplyDeleteSince different learners have different learning needs, a curriculum can be chalked out giving ample time to each students the same chance for success.
ReplyDeleteVery important
ReplyDeleteIt's so important that children grow up in a non competitive environment and rather learn to be there for each other. This helps in peer learning concept. They grow up to be good and literate human beings
ReplyDeleteThe children will learn fast and enjoy the learning through various activities. The weaker will understand and grasp easily and get an opportunity to learn in a better way.
ReplyDeleteCollaborative learning helps students, their problem solving skill gets improve, they can learn easily in fun way
ReplyDeletevery useful
ReplyDeleteEach individual is unique, keeping this thing in mind class activities and teaching strategies are planned with differentiated instructions so that every one can understand and perform the given task. This creates an environment of trust. The teaching learning practices should be student centric so that students reap maximum benefit out of it.
ReplyDeleteImproves participation and facillitates personalised learning and improves work performance of students.
ReplyDeleteactive based learning is important

ReplyDeleteAccording to me we should make age appropriate worksheets and plan activities so that each child feels comfortable and takes interest. child's engagement is important.
Learner centered approach will rightly serve the purpose of Inclusive education for the students from all walks of life. It will actually contribute in holistic development of every child in real sense of education
ReplyDeleteEach child is unique and hence need methods to reach out to them. Some learn faster and some need time to understand. We should keep this in mind and make different activities for them. Yes, learner centered approach is something we need now.
ReplyDeleteThe child can learn with fun. Play way method will develop the internet while learning.
ReplyDeleteThe children will learn fast and enjoy the learning through various activities. The weaker will understand and grasp easily and get an opportunity to learn in a better way.
The instructions given to children are not the same. Many time we have to repeat or explain the same instruction in different ways as the level of each child's understanding is different. When ever activities are conducted in class individual difference should be kept in mind , as some students definitely need more time which is completely alright as each and every individual is different.
ReplyDeleteChild centric approaches should be followed in the class but teachers should be aware that children have their own strengths and weaknesses. So activities must be framed accordingly.

Learner Centered Approach makes the learners active participant in the process. When we follow such an approach we provide ample opportunities to the learner to learn and reflect their opinions. On the other hand when it is teacher centric it is more focused on what teacher is saying without any ifs and buts about it.
ReplyDeleteAfter every hour, I make my kids play one or the other game by remaining in class itself.
ReplyDeleteAll the children can not be provided same set of instructions or experiences as every child is at a different stage of learning which is directly influenced by their surroundings, family structure, educational and financial backgrounds etc. Therefore learner centric education is more beneficial to them which takes into consideration their differences and give them sufficient time to work on their weaknesses.
ReplyDeletePresent scenario gives same instructions to every child. It's important to give separate instruction to every child based on its competency. This will achieve better learning curve
