DeleteI strongly agree with this. Each child has its own way of learning. In the early development, a child needs support in the most important domains - socio - emotional , language , creativity, Reasoning and physical (Motor skills). Children may be well developed in any of the domains. Here, the educator can understand their needs and play a role like a gardener, to shape , to provide the essentials for the growth & development of each child in concern with the domains. Educators can give counselling to Parents regarding the needs of the child and the importance of giving their space for creativity & learning.

The teacher training for ECCE is very important. The issue of the stress caused by having to "learn" a new language in school which is different from the language he acquires at home is a challenge that NEP addresses.

Focus should be more on exploring, questioning, learning while doing rather than a complete in class learning style. I watched the movie and found it very amusing that childrens are learning in playful manner. This cannot only makes the learning easy but children will also take interest in learning. - In our schools we need to behave with our students like mother and friend. We should not force the child to write and read, but we must make them enjoy their education in their own way. Through story, rhymes ,playing with sand , doing activity using wheat dove as clay. We should not rise our voice infront of our children. We need to talk smoothly with love towards them. By sweat voice and soul in our class room we can change any type of child towards good way, in their behaviour. We need to use some pictures, toys and objects to teach them any concept easily.
Early childhood and education is of great importance. For the effective implementation we need to maintain the teacher student ratio.

It's very important as it helps the early learners to learn while playing, strengthens their physical and mental health in a caring and protective environment. ECCE guides me to how to make this happen through which I can also enjoy my role as an educator.

ReplyDeleteEarly Childhood Care and Education helps in complete development of a child. Initial 5 years are very important years for the development of a child. They are the foundational years the child's education. A teacher should help and guide the children so that it caters to the comprehensive development needs. It helps build a strong foundation for the child's future learning curve.

It aims at the holistic development of a child's social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs in order to build a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing. I believe that education provided early on leads to all round development of an individual.

The video was enlightening. It was wonderful to see active learning of facts and concepts through fun, games and play. I really appreciate how seamlessly the teachers are inculcating learning with fun. I also appreciate the emphasis given on encouraging the child's strengths without any fear of comparison, allowing them to be happy and confident about themselves in a trusting and safe environment.

Its important because if it is not done the child is unable to cope with simple linguistic and arithmetic skills in further grades. They are not competent verbally if they are not focused in early stages.This Ecce plays a dynamic role to make each child a independent human being.They enjoy and learn which makes it easy for both educators and learners.

ReplyDeleteChildren are happiest when they are engrossed in play. That can happen in different forms, like playing with toys, playing outdoor games, hide-and-seek or simply by running. Children improve their motor skills, enhance their imagination and creativity by playing. Playing enhances various aspects of a child’s development such as physical, social, psychological and intellectual skills. Both gross and fine motor skills come under physical development.

ReplyDeleteYes, I as a Parent as well as a teacher agree that ECCE is very important. One must let the kids of these age to show as well as to grab new things in life by their own. One must not bind the child in rules and regulations. They are important but not for the kids of this age group. One must not bound them in time table let them do things as they want. Let the tiny buds grow with what they love.
